Keeping up
At least trying to.
Events From Week 26
Tried to get back on my regular schedule.
Actually took weekend days off.
Massive codebase migration.

Week 26 Commentary:
Not much to note this week.
A losing day and 2 winning days.
All textbook entries. Most worked out.
It’s really slow going, trading such a small size, but there’s not much I can do about the market environment.
What I Built / Shipped / Posted
It’s not really much to post about, but I’ve finally got my code organized and uploaded to GitHub.
Also, I’ve finished migrating from my MacBook to a Mac mini. This was a huge ordeal because I have so many projects and multiple iterations that going through and figuring out what was worth keeping took some time. I’ll be getting rid of the laptop and doing all my work on an iPad and/or logging in remotely to the mini when I need to use an actual computer. This is more of a forced life transition than a work one. My laptop is pretty much the heaviest thing I carry. My carry-on is perpetually overweight, and we’ve gotten by mostly because flights didn’t weigh it, or I was sneaky about it when they did. The mini can go in my checked bag, and with AI, I don’t really have to write much code anymore, so I don’t really need a dedicated mobile computer. I can do pretty much all my work on a big iPad and a Bluetooth keyboard. It’s nowhere near as quick or seamless an experience, but it works just fine. Also, the mini is better for being an always-on server for my code projects.
What I Learned
“Things are changing faster and faster...”
Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been so excited working on Zen-Lab, my agentic coding kanban board. I got all the way through phase 1, twice. I got it to a stable working state, then found other resources that would make it function closer to what I imagined, so I redid everything. I’ve used it to progress some of my coding projects in the background while I’m doing other things. I haven’t yet had anything so complex that it needs to run overnight. I always thought that would be a thing, but now I’m not so sure.
The rate of change in the capabilities is so high. I’m not on the bleeding edge, but I do stay informed, read a lot, and experiment. One of the latest functionalities in Antropic’s Claude Code is “agent swarms.” The primary agent takes your input, devises a plan, then delegates multiple tasks to carry it out, and spawns tons of agents to work in parallel and in sequence on all the tasks. This is pretty much what I had in my head, except they probably won’t put it on a kanban board, haha.
I don’t know, maybe they (or someone smarter/better dev than me) will make that next week. So many new things are popping up so fast. Ralph Wiggums loops (I’m not gonna go into it here) popped up, became the next big agentic coding thing, had everyone talking about and using them, and were effectively rendered useless within 2 weeks during the next feature rollouts. I didn’t even get a chance to do more than read a couple of articles, watch some YouTube videos, and look over some examples. No point now because the tech changed. I can understand why most people aren’t into AI yet.
What's Going On Next Week
“Under the hood” data reporting for the Q1 report. (had migration pains, so I had to postpone)
🤪 Off-Topic Corner
My Current Location: Hoi An, Vietnam
Old Town Hoi An was pretty neat. Nice walkabout. I mentioned it in the Zen Trades newsletter this week, but I got serious New Orleans vibes from walking the streets right on the water. The French colonial architecture is very prominent.

Couldn't agree more; your thoughtful tech migrations and embracing AI to streamlie workflow, something you've championed, is truly smart.
